The generous gift by 韦斯·费雪 of his music score collection was a welcome addition to the collection of The Yocum Library of 雷丁区社区学院. Its size 和 format presented some challenges in organizing 和 accessing the collection.  

The library staff first worked on preserving the collection by removing foreign materials which were threatening to damage the items (rusting paper clips, 融化的橡皮筋, 等.)，并将分数转移到档案文件夹. The Foundation for 雷丁区社区学院 helped to fund the purchase of many cabinets to store these music folders. A grant application was submitted to the Pennsylvania Office of Commonwealth Libraries to fund the cataloging of the 韦斯·费雪 Music Score Collection.
